I am passionate about communicating scientific knowledge in a way that captures peoples' attention and fosters the change needed to improve the world we live in.

I joined the Ontario Brain Institute (OBI) in 2013 and currently work on the Outreach Team where we tell stories, build community, and use evidence to drive better care for people living with brain disorders. I completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Dalhousie University in Halifax and after spending two years teaching English in Spain and South Korea I completed a Masters in Science, Medical and Environmental Communication at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. During my time in Barcelona I worked as an Associate for European Projects, advancing initiatives that aimed to promote scientific culture and facilitate conversation between scientists, policy makers, and society in Europe. I also held a position as a Science Writer with the Synthetic, Perceptive, Emotive and Cognitive Systems Group (SPECS) where I wrote about robotics and social perceptions of new technology. Upon my return to Canada I worked in communications for Discovery Channel Canada before joining OBI.
