He has previously worked in London as a reporter and editor at Research Professional's UK and European publications, and as a news editor at the journal Nature, where he won several awards for social media campaigns. His freelance work, on a variety of scientific and science policy topics, has appeared in Nature, Science, The Lancet, the Canadian Medical Association Journal, New Scientist and elsewhere.
